The Weather & Water Train-the-Trainer Program has been designed to allow for organized, efficient, and cost-effective dissemination of the Weather & Water curriculum throughout California.

  2. Trainers must attend an additional six-hour Train-the-Trainer workshop.
  3. Trainers must provide the Ocean Institute with data on workshop attendees.

Certified Trainers Can:

  1. Use Ocean Institute-developed Teacher Professional Development materials to conduct trainings for 5th grade teachers.
  2. Copy and disseminate any Weather & Water curriculum document to attending teachers only.
  3. Copy and disseminate Weather & Water Science Kit content list and ordering information to attending teachers only.
  4. Add attending teachers to the Weather & Water listserv, which will make them a part of the Weather & Water community of teachers and entitle them to updates, peer exchanges, and periodic content workshops at the Ocean Institute.
  5. Provide access information and updates for the Weather & Water technology strand.
